Yacon Syrup is a Certified Organic, low GI, natural sweetener made from Peruvian yacon roots. Naturally sweet and pure, our Yacon Syrup is a rich caramel like liquid extracted from the roots of the Peruvian yacon tuber vegetable. With 27% less calories than sugar and a low glycaemic index, Yacon Syrup can be used as a delicious alternative to honey and maple syrup.

Yacon Syrup contains FOS (fructooligosaccharides) and inulin which act as prebiotics to support healthier digestion and better gut health. Yacon Syrup has a low GI rating of 42 and may be recommended for diabetic and low calorie diets. Yacon has also been known to support regularity, satiety and weight control. Yacon Syrup contains antioxidants, amino acids (including tryptophan), phosphorus, calcium, iron, potassium, vitamins B and C in addition to soluble and insoluble fibre. Our pure Yacon Syrup is made from 100% Peruvian grown yacon roots. Organically and sustainably grown and harvested, our syrup has a rich deep brown colour and contains no fillers or added sugars. Yacon roots are hand harvested, then peeled, pressed into a rich brown syrup and pasteurised.

Yacon Syrup does not require refrigeration but can be refrigerated for a longer life.
