How we activate nuts

We lovingly activated the raw nuts in this pack by hand soaking them in Australian organic sea salt and probiotic-packed kombucha. This stimulates the sprouting process. We then place the nuts in low-temperature dehydrators for up to 36 hours - to get them dry (soggy nuts would not be nice!) and crunchy, but also this keeps their natural raw goodness intact! And the taste? Well, it's just game changingly delicious!

Are activated nuts good for you?

So, heres the thing, by activating nuts we help break down naturally occuring anti-nutrients in the nut - such as phytic acid. "Activation" removes the nut's hard-to-digest components and the addition of salt helps increase the enzymes that break down the phytic acid. This not only improves your digestion, but also ensures that beneficial nutrients (such as minerals) are more readily available to your body.
